Pervasive 8 & Crystal Reports

Hi!

I am new to crystal reports. We use Pervaise 8 database. When I try to preview existing reports using crystal reports XI, message pops up "Failed to load database information" followed by "Prompting failed with following error message ." Error Source: Error Code: 0x80004005"

When I try to verify data using Database> verify database, it say "Failed to load database information. Details: The database connector 'crdb_p2bbtrv.dll could not be loaded".

What does that mean?

Hi,
It means that something is incorrect in the configuration of the ODBC DSN for that database - check to be sure it is a System and not a User DSN, for a first step..

Then, if not corrected by insuring a system DSN is being used, try a repair or reinstall of the ODBC drivers from CR.

There are occasional Pervasive experts here, hopefully one will chime in.

Perhaps when CR XI was installed some connectivity options were omitted.
