I have Pervasive 2000 database. I am trying to link one of the tables to Access 97 so that I can insert data into one of my access tables using insert statement.

I was able to link the table in access using ODBC data source & see the information. Now here's my problem....The date column in my pervasive database change to numbers....

for example: 730521 ; 730964 ; 730894 etc.

I have no idea why & how to solve this problem. Can anyone please help...

Thanks in advance
Lakshmi.

This is the number of days since the year 0. Lots of databases store their dates like this. I beleive if you poke arund a bit you can find some code to convert that to a real date.

In VB and Crystal Reports, there is a Datediff() function so it can at least generate the 6 digit integer you need given the date you want and a starting date of Jan 1, 0000.

Good Luck. Software Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine
