I have done this before but completely forgot. How do I change personal speed dials 71-94 from the BCM Element Manager. BCM1000 version 4.0.2.21d
Thanks

From the main screen, select configuration, then Telephony.
Look for Sets and then the sub menu of e.g. Active Sets.
Highlight the DN that you want to change and then select the Capabilities and Preferences tab.

On the lower part of the screen, select the far right hand side tab called "User Speed Dial"

You can now add/delete or amend your entries

Ok I see the tab but when I click it nothing happens. I don't see anything on the lower part of the screen. It looks like its still stuck on the Line Access tab even though the Capabilities and Preferences tab is highlighted.

It sounds as if you have a Java problem. Also what is the version of your Element Manager tool?.

Have you installed the last release at the link given below?.

I have 3 other BCM's that I connect to with this software and those 3 don't do this. I have downloaded a newer version on a computer that is running java 1.8 but that one still works with the other 3 BCM's.

You already started a thread here and was answered:

Sorry, I did not perceive it that way. And my question was not answered. I am still having an issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok I figured it out. I don't change these very often and I need to write it down so I have it next time. Thanks for the help everyone.

I had to click on the phone that I wanted to use under the capabilities and preferences. I really apologize, I don't use the feature that often. Bad thing though once I clicked that the user speeddial was greyed out. I gave up and just went over to the building to the phones and did the feature *4 to change them. No biggie. The Nortel system will be going away soon.

We actually have removed all but this one because it is used by our 911 dispatch center and the new VoIP phone system didn't play nice with our setup. They are going to the new 911 digital route and removing copper lines.
