Hi,

Currrently playing around with MCD 4.0 and specially with the Personal Ring Group because it can twin your mobile number in combination with the External Hotdesk function.

The funny thing is when i am answering a call on my cellphone i get a dialtone and not the call directly. To get the call i need to us a FAC like 'Retrieve Call Hold' or 'Pickup'. When i do so i get the call and after a second the other end of the line is hearing a DTMF-tone once but it is not nice. The same ting seems to happends when calling directly to the external hotdesk extension.

Any ideas to work around this Beep? Or to get the call by picking up your phone?

Problem solved!!!
CoS option:
Hot Desk Esternal User: Answer Confirmation

Think carefully If you turn it off because it can be answered by your voicemail and it won't be monitored by the mitel or rerouted in the 1st alternative.

Thanks to Richard!!!

im really struggling to get this working.

Setup is as follows:-
5340 IP device extn 218 (not acd or hotdesk, standard user)

Personal ring group created with ID 218

I can add IP phones as member in the group and it works fine, the problem is I cant work out how to add an entry for a mobile / cell phone...

Can anyone assist please, frustrating me this one!!!

Cheers

james you should probably create your own thread but you need to create external hotdesk devices and add the mobile numbers there

thanks mitelpassion, wanted to get round it without the need for external hot desk devices. tried adding devices into the personal ring groups, then setting call forward always but didnt work.
ill have to purchase the required licence

thanks again
