Personal Presence - Twinning Auto On/Off

Dear all,

I'm new to the whole mitel setup, so i apologize if I ask stupid questions.
But here's my issue for the moment.

we previously had a Siemens central, now we changed our platform to mitel, we had cordless dect phones as desk-phones in the beginning. now we changed it because of the twinning setup that your mobile device can be used as a portable device. so we did and i created a personal presence button on the 5320e devices. now if I'm in the office i press on that button and my mobile we be activated and in the evening i have to dis-activate it in order not to get any surprise phone call from the office phone.

Is there a way where you can automatic disable the personal presence with a time-frame, if it is in 1 direction meaning only switch off or switch on the presence, fine by me. then if we forget to disable it in the evening the time-frame will disable it for me.

If you use the COS option - Permanent Login, I would guess that you could change the COS to one without Permanent Login with Night Service Switching.

Just a guess, I've never tried this.

If you have Auto Attendant or are using CRA, you could build an unannounced path that points to your configuration assistant DN. That way you could call in remotely, press the secret digit that points to the Config Assistant extension, enter your ext and password and turn it on and off that way.

If you could change the COS using 9860, then you should be able to achieve the same thing using a STAR timer point...maybe...

LOL, you are correct, and I knew which one you were referring to because the COS in the 5000 can't be manipulated like that...but for some reason, my mind went to the 5000 VM platform...getting old sucks sometimes
