hi,
It can be done.
This document describes the feature Personal number.
When the directory number is called and it has the PN service active, the call will be deflected to a number of answering positions defined in the active list until any of them answers the call or the call is stopped due to any other reason. Each personal number can have up to 5 lists.
Each list can have up to 5 answering positions. The answering positions can be defined by I/O commands.
The user can activate and deactivate the lists by dialling a procedure. This can also be done by the system administrator. If no list is active (i.e. the PN service is deactivated) and the directory number is called, the call will be forwarded to the terminal and the deflection is not executed. It is possible for any valid type of extension to activate or change, with a dialling procedure, which list number, between 1 to 5, is the active one (even if it was initiated by I/O commands before). Normally the decision of what list is going to be the active one will be taken depending on the user location (at the office, at home, etc....).
If the feature Personal number is separately purchased, the traditional extensions (analogue extensions, digital POTS extensions, digital extensions, ISDN terminals, CAS extensions and dual access (DTS-ISDN) extensions) and the generic extensions (cordless and virtual) can utilize the service.
Hope I made some points here..
Thank you, but my problem is not solved. If someone wants to send me a Fax, he should dial the same number like someone who wants to give me a phonecall. MD should recognize the fax and should route this call to a fax-device. Phone-calls should come to my digital extension
as Damovo told us, the MD110 has no automatic "decision" wether an incoming call is a fax- or a phonecall.
If your extension is an analog extension and you connect a combined fax and telephone machine, this machine can detect if the incoming call is a fax or voice call.
