Is personal directory data saved in the IP Office config file or on the one-x portal database or both? I am in the process of rebuilding a config from scratch to resolve an issue and I see many of the users have very large personal directories created using the data from the system directories and user added ones.

I am wondering if I have type all of this in for each user, will one-x update that data or will I be overwriting it etc..

It is indeed stored in the config.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

If Im not mistaken it depends on the phone type, 14xx,16xx, 95xx, and 96xx personal directories are stored in the config, all other phones the personal directories are stored in the phone itself.

the personal directories were created in One-X portal not on the phones.

djuplift, create a personal directory and then save it.
Then open the config and check the users personal directory.
I tested this a while ago.

I just tested it, if I add them in one-x they show up in the config, if I remove them from the config they are gone from one-x the next log in..

No way to back them up, no way to export or import the data looks like copy and paste game.. LAME

Indeed, you cannot import or export them.
But when you pull a config then you have it.
Just pull a config every day.

Cant even copy the entry one at a time you have to copy each field or type them all in line by line.. what a fail.

What happens if you export the users and import them back in?
Are they gone?

What if you copy the user from one Manager to the other?

If you export you loose them, if you copy you keep them but I cant copy anything because I am trying to resolve a user/license issue. If I copy any user data I risk bringing the corruption into the new config.

What is the problem?

I posted about the issue a few weeks back, the system will not allow any user to use the one Phone Manager Pro License that is on it.

We have tried everything you can think of to fix it. I have been working with Avaya and they want me to completely rebuild it again but I cannot copy any data from the existing config. I did that the first time I rebuilt it and it carried the problem over to the new config file.

I have had tier 3 looking at it, we have pinned it down to either the config file or the SD card.
