I want to setup our CEO to use Personal Contact 7 for his pager. His pager is a 888 number and ive set it up like: 91888. When I press 7 internally it works fine, but externally pressing 7 takes us back to the auto-attendant which is the default behavior if the number isn’t working properly..

I tried speed calls and removing the 9 and the 1 etc.. but still doesn’t work externally.. any ideas?

thanks

The best bet is that the voicemail is not allowed to create unsupervised conferences.

Can't advise beyond that without knowing your system type and software revision. Trunk type would be useful too.

8.0.11.7 is the version software on our 3300. Where can I check to see if that unsupervised conference setting is disabled?

thanks!

I see in the Voice Mail Options assignment: Enabled Supervisor Transfer is set to false.

If I understand this right, you want to have the VM xfer out to his pager.
1.Check COS to be sure is is allow Public Network to Public Network connections.
2. Check COR to be sure it is allowed to dial the number.
3. in the COS of the VM port be sure that the accunt code length is set to the number of digits of your extension length.

Also COS option for the VM port needs to have Non-Verified Account Code option enabled.

The trunk type might still be a factor but that question was more focused towards the SX200.

You can test functionality by setting up a regular phone with the same COS and COR as a voicemail port. Call the phone and see if it can transfer the call externally to the cell/pager.

Oh and 1 other thing.

I strongly recommend you do not allow the voicemail ports the ability to dial long distance. If a long distance number is required, use a speedcall that overrides toll control.

There have been numerous discussions of late on hacking Embedded voicemails for the purpose of toll fraud.

Ok i played with some settings but still no luck. Im not pro with the 3300, so anymore specific help is much appreciated! this is what i did:

Changed Account Code Length in VM COS from 12 to 4 - Non-Verified Account code was enabled
ARS Digits Dialed for 91 has Number of digits to follow being 10 , Term Type is List, Term Numb is 3
Assigned new COS to extension of CEO that allows public network to public network connections
Pointed Pager to a speed call number that was set to dial the 91888 pager number

The public to public COS option is required in the COS of the voicemail, not the CEO phone. Nothing need to be changed regarding the CEO phone.

In the ARS digits you should have a value defined for 91888+7dig that is separate from 91 +10dig. If you do not, you are asking for trouble.

Required Info
Route defined for 91888 or route defined for local dialing
COR group assigned to Route for 91888
Members of COR group assigned to Route for 91888
COR assignment for Voicemail ports

None of the info above can be helpful in hacking your system in case your nervous.

kwbMitel - The public to public COS option is required in the COS of the voicemail fixed the problem! Yipee !!@!!

I assume the "Required Info" steps are to limit the voicemail to just dialing out to 91888 and not other numbers? i.e. open the flood gates?

thanks

If your voicemail is capable of transfering calls to 91+ 10 digits then you are asking for toll fraud.

The required info was only needed if it was still not working.

My recommendation would be to restrict the voicemail ports via COR to local only calls and use a speedcall instead of the acual number in the pager dialer.
