Personal Contact numbers don't work

CXi with latest MCD build. Majority of users are fine, however we have two that have setup personal contact numbers. When used the caller gets one of the following:

When tranferred to mobile you are taken to reception or when transferred to mobile, you are told the extension is not valid.

We have re-keyed the numbers ensuring there is a leading 9, and everyone else is fine. Not sure where to look next, what makes this more important, out of everyone in the company the one's that are not working are directors!
 
Does the class of service applied to the voicemail ports have:

Public network access via DPNSS

Public Network to Public Network Connection Allowed

Voice Mail Softkey

all set to yes?

(Those came from an older version of the online help. However, that second one, might contribute to your system being vulnerable to abuse if people guess/you haven't changed the 3 mailbox passwords for Manager/Sys Admin/Technician)

All were set to no in my VM config. I'll get the client to test.
 
Make sure the VM ports are toll restricted.

You can't believe anything you read... unless of course it's this sentence.
 
UPDATE: The client had programmed some system speed calls that translate to the mobile numbers. If they program their personal contact number to use the speed call it works fine.

Can anyone explain this to me.
 
Speedcalls can be set to overide toll restriction. This override also includes trunk to trunk transfer.
