Hi,
I was wondering if we had to purchase another MCS server if I wanted to have 20 of my 150 IP phones users use Cisco's personal assistant application or can I install it on my Callmanager sever (Or does it install on Unity?)?

I cant justify the cost of having those 20 users who would benefit from Personal Assistant if the purchase of a 9100$ is in the equation.

The CM in question is a rackmount 7825 and it diserves 150 phones users. In my head I dont think the personal assistant (no ASR or TTS options included) should bog down the CPU that much...

What do you think? Thank you

ella,

you can't install PA coresident. well, at least, you shouldn't. this callmanager 4.0 doc sez 'no way':

"Do not install Cisco Unity, Cisco Conference Connection, Cisco Personal Assistant, or Cisco Emergency Responder on the server where Cisco CallManager is installed."

I'll admit, PA doesn't seem like a 'cpu suck' type application, but, boy is it cool! I've had fun with it.
