Persistent Value problem after moving database server

We have moved our sql database (target data) to a new server. We made the necessary setup changes to the point where we can now run workflows sucessfully. However the sessions that contain persistent values are updating the persistent values on the old server. Can someone tell me what I need to change to point the persistent values to the new server? We are on 6.1.

Did you migrate the repository database as well?
persistant workflow variables are stored in the repository at the end of a workflow run.

So, from your story it seems a bit hard to check what you moved (only target / target+repository database)

Yes, we migrated all the databases. Right now it appears if may be a permissions issue on the migrated databases... that is what we are exploring at this moment any way. Any other suggestions would be appreciated though.
