I' m setting up a Networker 7.3.2 environment and a LTO3 library with 4 fibre tapedrives connected to a QLA2462 on a Win 2003 server. In Networker the following paths are used: \\.\Tape0,\\.\Tape1,\\.\Tape2 an \\.\Tape3 and persistent binding is configured on the QLA2462 board. If I take out the second tape drive from the library and reboot the server, the tape paths are reordered and I have Tape0, Tape1, and Tape2.
Because persistent binding is activated, I expected to have the four tape paths in the windows registry but aparently windows scans the tape drives when the server is rebooted and does not respect the persistent binding settings.
Has anybody encountered simular problems?
Kind regards
