Hello

A customer need to migrate some data from one "old" server to a new one.
Also he want use the same server name, that means that the old should be removed from the domain and the new one added.
Of course he nedd admin permissions.
Now the job should run in the night....
How could I give a limited permissions to the customer ?
He should remove and add both servers only .
I don't know if it's possible,

regards

Ok, i'm a bit confused by your questions but here's what I would do:

- set-up the new server with a new name
- perform the migration (either backup/restore or robocopy)
- Once you've confirmed the files migrated properly, remove server1 from the domain and allow that change to propagate.
- Remove server2 from the domain, then rename server2 with the same name as server1.
- Re-add server2 (which is now called server1) to the domain.

Good luck,
