Hello
I have an interesting issue with permissions. I am trying to set up a bridged SSL VPN using Open VPN and the mac gui: tunnelblick.
I have two accounts on my macbook (intel): one is a local admin and the other is a mobile account created from an AD entry on Win Server 2003. The mobile account is a domain admin and has explicit admin rights on the macBook.
the mobile AD account is really important for the ease of accessing network shares and the file syncing with the network. i have not found an acceptable workaround to this yet.
OpenVPN works absolutely flawlessly with the local account. really smooth experience. however it will not work with the mobile account despite it having admin privileges. i gave the account group membership in wheel, and this avoided some permissions problems but not all.
are permissions handled differently between types of account? is one admin account not the same as another? any other thoughts on what i'm doing wrong, perhaps?
thanks in advance
Justin
