I have a folder, SALES, that only the Sales Reps can access. There is a particular report in that folder that I want marketing to access. I do not want marketing users to see the SALES folder, only their MARKETING folder.

I have created a shortcut to that report in the MARKETING folder, but those users cannot see the report unless I grant them access to the SALES folder.

I do not want to create a copy of the report since then I would have to manage multiple copies.

How can I create a shortcut to this report and allow others to use it without granting them permissions to the originating folder?

Thanks for any help!

Hi,
Sorry, you cannot..Permissions are hierarchical.

You could, however, give Marketing and Sales access to the folder, but deny marketing access to all the reports except that one you want them to see...
