This might belong over in the Admin section, let me know and I'll move it...

I found the following in MSDN re user permissions for SSRS:

To make the report server available to other users, you must create role assignments that map user or group accounts to a predefined role that specifies a collection of tasks.

But then it doesn't say how to do that. I've got a reporting server instance and, indeed, only users in the Administrators group for the server can access it. I want to set up a group of users who can access their own My Reports folders and use Report Builder, but that's all. I can do the role definitions in Report Manager, but I can't seem to get them onto the server unless they're members of Administrators. I've got a new local group on the server called 'SSRS Report Builders' and users are members and the group is assigned to a role, but when they attempt to access their folders they get:

Error Message said:
The permissions granted to user xxxxx are insufficient for performing this operation. (Access Denied)

What's missing?

Just in case anyone needs to know, Local Groups don't work aside from the local Administrators group. This all worked out when I created a domain group for my Report Builders.
