Hi, in 2003 , can you let say a group of users create files/ folders , amend files , rename folders etc, but not move the folders/ files or delete them.??

I have tried everything.

Regards

From the Security tab, click advanced. Select the group to modify, and click view/edit. Scroll down towards the bottom, and uncheck "Delete Subfolders and files" and uncheck "Delete". OK all the way out.

As a move is simply an automated copy and delete that should do the trick for you. Of course test first.

I think if you take away delete subfolders and files plus delete it takes away the ability to create files /rename folders etc...
