I've read through most of the posts here, but still at a loss. I've got CE10 running and all the reports are accessed through the same URL method:

Now this works fine for me, and many other employees, but there are a few for whom this does not work, they get a Windows login box trying to log on this resource.

I've searched all the permissions on this server and can't find what it is that these users need access granted to. Is it a directory? or this crw file? Or something I'm missing all together?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!!

Hi,
the viewrpt.cwr is not a file, per se,it is a command that launches the Report Viewer..It does not have any separate authentication/security settings than your web site imposes..
What is the exact message those users get when asked to login..Is it from Windows or Crystal?

Is the URL passing the values correctly from their browsers?

Thanks TB. I don't get it. 2 users access the same link in the same way. For one, it opens the report fine (after installing the ActiveX plugin if not installed). For the other, they get the Windows dialog box asking them to log in to this resource which is just the link. So I don't think it's a Crystal problem, it's a windows problem.

Looking at their Active Directory groups, there's nothing that looks like 1 should have more access than another.

Thanks!

The reason I was asking about the viewrpt.cwr file, is because I thought if I could find it, I could check the security settings for it to make sure everyone had access to it.

Any other suggestions, please let me know, thanks!

Hi,
Does the login request have other text to indicate what is being logged into..
