I have to create a Profiles folder on a Win 2003 server, for roaming profiles.
Microsoft's instructions for setting up roaming profiles tells you to create the folder (i.e. D:\Profiles) but says nothing about the NTFS permissions that are required.
I can tell you that on my server the default permissions don't work.
A profile for a user should be created automatically the first time they log in. My users get a "can't load profile" message, and the folder (D:\Profiles\username) is not created.
I have another server on a different network where it works properly but the vendor just put wide open full permissions on \Profiles there - and I don't want to do that.
Does anyone know the correct permissions for \Profiles?
