Had an existing installation of Vista on a hard disk. Decided I wanted to create a partition for the OS separate from my user files for restoration purposes. Created a small partition from the available space and installed Vista on that partition.
Now, of course, all of the files on my "user files" partition were owned by the account on the other OS install, and I'm having major permissions issues with the new account from the new OS install. Is there any direct way to "take over" the files on the other partition from the old account and solve the lingering permissions issues once and for all?
