Windows XP Pro/SP2
Office 2003
I have a user from time to time send Word documents as attacments. Typicly a time off request form that we created in-house. They will fill it out, attach it to a new mail message and send it to their boss for approval. Normaly the boss would check a box, assign his signature and send back. No problems
Lately, without any changes that I can detect the Word documents are showing up in the bosses e-mail as a read-only file, thus causing extra steps to process the Word document I have check the file and it is not read only.
Question: What can cause a file to change to read-only once sent?
