It can be done with coding if you are prepared to go to that extreme. Set a flag for a new record which is updated in the OnCurrent event to determine what your status is. Check if the user IsMemberOfGroup(CurrentUser, "GroupName"
and set the .enabled property of the controls depending on what their permissions are.
