Hello Everybody,

I have a system with a strange problem. It belongs to a client of mine that designs web pages. One of the problems is that Photoshop will start then just vanish as if you never tried to start it. However if I login as the local administrator it works fine. It also works fine if you click on run as (when logged in as the other user) and use the local administrator account. The user is a domain user but since I have the system here at my shop I am loging in localy. I have added this person into the local administrator group for testing but it still has the same problem. It seems to be a rights issue but I would think that belonging to the local administrator group would fix this. Anybody have any other ideas?

Thanks,

Zych

Possibly, depends on what is setup on the domain. Is it an Active Directory Domain or is it an old NT domain?

It's possible that there is a gpo that is blocking access to local drives or portions of the local drive. I would recommend adding the user to the domain admin group and run a gpupdate /force from the command prompt and try to launch the application.

If it runs then there is some form of gpo blocking you out.

Thank you. I will try that out early next week.
