I have one Win 2k Server with 2 PC’s hanging off it.
Server Settings: 10.10.10.2 | 255.255.255.0 Preferred DNS 10.10.10.2
56k modem in Server with enabled internet sharing to feed PC’s No router, running thought a SMC 10/100 Switch.
I have Active Dir set up
Pc’s Running Win XP Pro
PC’s: 10.10.10.1 & 3 | 255.255.255.0 Gateway 10.10.10.2 Preferred DNS 10.10.10.2
Wins 10.10.10.2
I log in to the Server and PC’s as Administrator
It all works fine browsing the entire network and internet sharing, but from time to time for no reason when I try and browse the network I get the following error
Server Name is not accessible you might not have permission to use this network resource contact ect………………. An invalid operation was attempted an active network connection.
I can access some of the network drives but not others?
Can anyone tell me why? If I reboot its fine
