Permission Checker problem

Had (emphasis on past tense) an ASP page which displayed links only if the user had permission on that file on our intranet server. The script used MSWC.PermissionChecker. Page was working beautifully. Unfortunately, I had to reinstall IIS 5.0 to correct a different problem. Now the permission checker doesn't display the links for anybody. The permissions haven't changed on the files (I checked) nor have the scripts changed.
Is there something I missed when I reinstalled IIS which enables permission checker? Where would I go to check? I've run IIS Lockdown and didn't see anything specific there.
I'd appreciate any help.
