Hi everyone,
I need some advice. I understand that you can actually install PERL on a Windows machine. I would like to do this to checkout the syntax of my Perl scripts before installing them on my website. I would like to obtain the least obtrusive and easiest version to install. I have explored the options and some and the terminology is overwhelming. Can someone tell me exactly what I need to run Perl scripts on my Windows machine? Thx in advance.
Regards,
Randall Princeton

That should be enough if you're just checking syntax. If you want to run the scripts to see how they appear in a browser, you'll also need some type of webserver, such as Apache.

tviman's suggestion is probably what you're looking for. ActiveState also comes with an excellent module-installation tool if you need to add additional modules to the package.

syntax checking on 'doze, and for production on *nix

Word of Warning, not all modules are available via PPM (perl Package Manager from AS) for windows. Even some modules installed through CPAN will cr@p on 'Doze

But 95%+ you should get on alright
