Hi all

this is my problem:
I need to extract the values of 2 Records and then do a sum similar to : (record1 - record 2)/record 2 * 100
Once this has been done I need to insert the value of this calc as another record in the report so that the report shows Record 1 ,Record 2 and Record 3(the calc)when the report is run.Several of these record-on-record calcs must be done before the report is viewed

Any help will be most appreciated

Get these records one after another and you can use the previous function to compare consecutive values.

You can't really add another record, but you can print another line by either using a group footer (if you can group the pairs together as a group) or you can create a conditional detail section. Ken Hamady, On-site/Phone Crystal Reports Training/Consulting

If you can identify the specfic records you need in your calcaultations, you could use WHILEREADINGRECORDS variables to retrieve the values you want, and then do the display WHILEPRINTINGRECORDS
