I have successfully backed up 2 systems with CP03 cards with software version (from F82 command :0 19 00 03 03).

I tried a backup from a larger 2000 IVS with a CP00 card and software version (F82:0 14 00 03 03) and it fails with an unknown error.

Do I need a different version of software for this system?

The CP-00 uses a MAT-CA-Q cable connected to the back plane of PIM 0. The CP-03 uses one (MAT-CA-P) connected to the front of the card. Are you using the proper cable?

Belevedere,

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have tried using MatWorX to do a back up on a CP-00 and I could not do it and was told by NEC America "It is not supported". Are you saying you have made this work? If so it would sure help me a bunch, and let me know how, please. Well I only have 5 left that refuse to upgrade "since our system is working fine" as the customer says. That's a good thing for the NEC name but bad for us folks that need to make money on upgrade referals to the sales team. I have a 5 PIM 2000 IVS at an auto dealership that I installed in 1998 and it's still purring along and even still has the original voice mail w/ hard drive working!! Amazing the voice mail hard drive hasn't crashed....

Well now that I've said that I will get a call tomorrow the voice mail is down!!

Try a 2400 thats 35 years old and still purring along. Up until a few years ago I was still working on 12 series. Fortunately I moved companies. For all I know those 12 series are still out there! Still plenty of SDSs and even D3s out there too. 10 years is nothing for an NEC, it's still just settling in!!!!

MW Studio 3.61 w/sp4 will perform a back up on an older IVS w/a CP-00 card.
1.set CMD 4008>0>5 = 9600 baud
2.ensure CMD 4009>1>1 = back up to io port 0
3.connect to the system and perform the back up

NOTE: an MP3 back up results in a .MP3 file, which may not load since it looks like a media player file. Select individual area back ups which are .dm1,2,3, etc. These can be loaded.
