Hi,
I would like to know how to define a threshold template that would send a trap to the TNG console when a certain process dies on a client windows NT machine. I have already tried to monitor the ressourtces "Process ID" and "thread count" for the instance corresponding to that process but, when the process dies, the corresponding instance disappears and nothing happens. Is it possible to be noticed when an process dies on a client machine?
Thank you in advance
Véronique

Hi,
The Performance Scope isn't the ideal place for this kind of "monitoring".
That's because it not alert about the existence or not of the process.
Even if you could monitor the existence, that means that you should have to keep the application open in the station; and all actions will happend locally.
I think that you should use the NT Agent of unicenter (in conjunction whit Msg/Actions), and not the performance agent
