Have recently had a SP thin node installed in SP frame running 4.3.3 when initiating a ftp session from this node to any other node and doing a get of any file size the performance of transfer is very slow. But if ftp is initiated from any other node to this node and a file is put to this node the speed is fast.
have compared no -a on each node - looks okay.
have checked entstat -d ent1 and found following
Packets Dropped: 1232066
not sure if this is issue.
any suggestions ?

Ah! My beloved SP. Can you initiate a telnet without any problem? Do you have any errors from a netstat -in? Have you checked the adapter to make sure it is 100-full and auto negotiation is off?

Also, have you tried doing the transfer over your switch instead of external ethernet?

Thanks khz, I noticed on switch setting the following difference.
on problem node
Size of IP send buffer 524288
Size of IP receive buffer 524288
on other nodes
Size of IP send buffer 15728640
Size of IP receive buffer 15728640
what is the command to change this ?

I have updated /tftpboot/tuning.cust with new settings and will test.
