We are testing a DB2 connection from a windows planning tool running on the PC to DB2 on the iSeries. DB2 connect is installed on the PC, CLI is used to handle the data exchange. The performance is rather bad. Tracing the transactions on the iSeries shows rather long response times for the SQL prepare statements. Does anyone have experience with this kind connection?
