I'm a newbie to vbscript, but I need to script performance monitor to run, if any one has a FAQ or some sample coe that they can post that would be great.

Smithsco,

WMI can do some performance monitoring. Since you did not specify, then hopefully the following will help you get started and maybe address your needs.

Check this article out at MS:

MS Scripts related to Monitoring:

One of the scripts: Baseline Performance Monitoring

Write WMI Scripts Like the Pros! dload Scriptomatic

Hope this helps.

Hmm... I've had a read through and I can not seem to find any info on CPU usage per process, does any one know how to do this?

Smithsco,

You did not mention your OS.

If you have IIS 2003, then:

Code may be usable for your, but you will need to check it out.

Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) and Performance Monitoring

The Win2K Professional Resource Kit by MS has CPU Usage by Processes which Shows the percentage of total CPU usage per process. See brief advertisement at:

Pull Perfmon Counters With Wbem...

AND...
Monitor Processor Use by Process

Monitoring Processes for Performance

Hope that does it.
