Does anyone know if there are any "standards" for a VAX 4500A running OVMS in terms of sustained fault rates, DIO, etc.? Or where I can find them?

Hi,

You can find these answers via the Guide to VMS Performance manual, via DEC PS software reports, and often the monitor utility is helpful in spotting problems. Generally the UAF process quotas for a user and the Sysgen PQL_M----- and PQL_D----- quotas can be set to reduce page faulting to some extent. You should also see that your pagefiles are sufficient and keeping them off the system disk is usually a good idea.
