Performance issues after installing latest ActiveX Viewer Hot Fix

I recently installed the October 2003
ActiveX Viewer Monthly Hot Fix for Crystal Enterprise 8.5.

Now when users view reports via the ActiveX viewer, when they scroll down the page it is slow and "shaky" -- ie. the scrolling is not smooth, the scrollbar and text jump.

I tried uninstalling the Hot Fix via the Restore.txt instructions that came with it, but this had no affect on the problem.

I also tried uninstalling the viewer from a client machine and then reinstalling it from the npviewer.exe file on the server.

This Knowledge Base article told me how to completely uninstall the hotfix (including restoring the registry settings), and this solved my problem.
