Performance Information Server V 8.0.1 for Syson z- Client DS v8 WinXP

DataStage Designer client has issues saving projects to the IBM
Information Server. Product window builds job ok, but when it comes
time to save the job to the JOB folder, the DataStage Designer client
hangs for a long period of time then returns a DataStage "unable to
unlock ...." window.

Also, the DataStage Designer client appears to hang when the "View
Data" inside a sequential file object. Took 12 minutes to return 10 of
25 records from a file on the server.

Both the server and Client are on different network segments . Is this some thing related to Port configurations or opening/closing some ports.
