Hi,

Does anyone know how to reduce the performance impact of backing up a users laptop using the remote agent.

Keep trying to run this, but it is making a couple of the laptops unusable while it runs.

Many Thanks,

The laptops are unuseable when the backup runs, or when Remote Agent is installed? We always run our backups at night so as to cause as little interference as possible. There are times however when a backup gets delayed to the point of running during the day. Certain computers will slow down, and we even used to have a website that would start yielding errors when the backup ran during the day.

If Remote Agent itself makes the laptops unuseable, you can run the backups without it, it'll just go a lot slower.
