I installed CiscoWorks for Windows 6.0 on a computer running Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 3. I was able to run reports (Performance Graphs) for some time. I then changed the computer name and also installed Norton Antivirus server and its components(NAVCE 7.60).Since then, I am unable to run these reports. Anytime I try, I get the error message - Report Job Failed. Error 599:2 Cant open SQL server.
Also, I am not able to log into the computer running CiscoWorks remotely. Any time I try, it is looking for the old computer name which I changed (I used DHCP on my network although this computer has a static IP address).
Is the computer name 'hardcoded' when installing SQL. If so how can I change itto use the current name?
What else could be causing this problem/behaviour?

Andy

Hi Andy,
it's been a while now but I had similar probs with ciscoworks2000.
The name is coded in an info.txt file in the registry and may have another instance in ANIserver.txt.
I know this is vague but it will point yoiu in the right direction.
I'd recommend removing Norton anti-virus first though to isolate the problem.
