Performance and speed!

Dear Friends:

I work in VB6 and i have connected it to sybase database.
I wanna have some tips and hints on how can i perform my reports in speed (I want to have the report generated in very small amount of time, when the user asks for it.)

Not sure what your asking for here: do you want to speed up DB performance or create SQL reports quickly?

In the former case, I found this page extremely useful:

In the latter case, that's all down to DB design! However, creating views maybe useful in combining commonly used tables etc.
