Perfmon counters

I am missing 'Network Interface' counters in performance monitor and have tried the fix that microsoft has outlined which is expanding the perfc009.dat and perfh009.dat files off the cd to no avail. SNMP is installed and running as instructed per knowledge base article 102629. OS is NT4.0 SP6a and is running in a mixed mode domain. I would appreciate any other advice or experience anyone else has had.

looks like reinstalling TCP/IP sorts it out. Currently testing.
