Perflib file backup problems

I have all Compaq G2 and G3 W2K servers. When the backups run, I always get the following errors:

WRN - can't open file: C:\WINNT\system32\Perflib_Perfdata_4f0.dat Cannot access file because it is being used by another process. There are several other Perflib_Perfdata files that give the same error.

I have OTM enabled on the clients, I don't understand why I am getting these errors.

Has anyones else experience this, and solutions to fix?

If you have active performance collections then OTM will not find a time where the file is free long enough to back up - Only thing here is to exclude the file, disable OTM, decrease the file wait time in OTM or increase the data collection time so that the file is not being accessed.
