PerfLib error

Hi,
I have a VB application, that reads data from a database and manipulates it and stores it back.
While running the application from the VB editor, I am getting an VBexe error, that closes the Visual Basic editor. I don't get any other application error.
The error message is:
The Open Procedure for service "Nbf" in DLL
"C:\WINNT\system32\perfctrs.dll"
> failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. Status
> code returned is data DWORD 0.


Can anyone tell me the reason for this error?
