Hi there, complete SMS newbie here!

We've installed SMS 2.0 on our NT based network and have notice in Event Viewer of all discovered machines the following error - Event 1011

The library file ""specified in the ".NET Framework" service could not be opened. Performance data for this service will not be available. Status code is data DWORD 0.

SMS is installed on Win 2k boxes - don't know if this helps.

There is also a ".NET CLR Networking" service error along the same lines.

The only thing we can tie this in with is the time the Advertised Programs Client Agent was set to run which was I think every hour. We've disabled this and the Events seem to have stopped. I've done a search on the web but no luck.

Can anyone please help a down in the mouth SMS - haven't got a clue - sort of guy! ;-)

Where are you seeing this Error 1011? In the Event Viewer on the servers? I would guess that you would see this in the Application Log.

What version of SMS? SMS 2.0 or SMS 2003?

In any case, this issue might be related to performance monitoring software running on your servers. SMS 2.0 has its own performance monitoring mechanism that may conflict of other performance monitoring software. If this happens, one of the permons is automatically disabled.

Hi thanks for getting back - the version of SMS is 2.0 and the Event is actually seen on the workstations and not on the servers.

Not really sure that article helps, but thanks for that.

Any other ideas would be great!
