perf prob with an ultrium 3580 TD

i've installed a L360 compaq with a gigabyte card and a 29160LN scsi card. The os is windows 2k. When i try to backup/restore file with the ultrium, i get a speed of 1,6Mo/sec
When i use my old library on another scsi card (HVD), i get a speed of 6Mo/sec.
What is the prob?

I have seen performance problems like this, caused by the Adaptec-SCSI-Driver. If you use SP4 of the Adaptec-Driver performance goes down with LTO. Problem fix was to use Adaptec SP3. The Version of the ADPU160M.SYS should be 5.00.2195.1620. Give it a try.
