Percentage of grand total in crosstab

Dear experts,

I have a standard crosstab like this:


Col1 Col2 Col3 Col4 Total
Row1 .
Row2 .
Row3 .
Total . . . . . . . . Total

I am trying to get all summarized fields to show as a percentage of the grand total for rows and columns as opposed to the column or row total only. Is that possible?

You should always specify your version--especially for crosstabs, as functionality varies significantly between versions. From a previous post, I see that you are using XI, so all you need to do is create a formula. If your initial summary is based on a count, use:

1 % count({table.field})

If your initial summary is a sum, use:

{table.amt} % sum({table.amt})

Add the formula as a summary field, using sum as the summary. In preview mode, select the summary and click on the % icon in the toolbar to get the percent display.
