I have purchased a PERC 2/SC from a friend. I have 2 IBM HS DHCS 9.1 SCA-2 Drives. I have 2 SCA-2 to 50pin and 68 PIn Connectors. I used to use these drives with an AHA-2940 and 50 pin cables. I purchased this car to use it as raid and ultra with 68 pin cable. I properly set everything (ID, Termination etc....)
My system is not a DELL. I am trying to set up a linux box for learning Linux. I tried this card with two systems. With an 200MMX and PII-400.
With 200 MMX it even did not reached the bios summary screen and boot phase after configuring it.
With P2 400: I configure everything but whenever I create a logical drive it does not boot with DOS, W2K, WXP. It boots with Mandrake 8.0 and 8.1 but does nbot install.
If I do not define a logical drive. It boots with all OS'es.
When I try to boot from floppy It stops without saying anything or stops displaying starting MS-Dos.
When tryi9ng to boot from the CD it displays 1.44 emulation etc... and hangs up there.
Can't I use this card with a system other than DELL ?
I suspect the INT13 with MS OS'es.
I need help...
