Peoplesoft 8 CMP006 DBAG problem

I'm trying to run the annual merit for my company using tools 8.15, Application engine with Component Interface didn't work for the fact that the Component Interface was calling another App Engine and this will generate an error(know problem to PeopleSoft and will not be fixed until release 9 for HRMS). so I tried running CMP006 (Database Agent)which runs fine and inserts a row in PS_JOB table with the right comp_rate but the comp_rate doesn't get updated is PS_COMPENSATION
Is anyone going through the same problem?
please let me know, I really appreciate any help
