Pen tool/path/anchors - not blue

All of a sudden my pen tool does not produce paths or anchors of the nice, thick and visible blue colour they used to.
It's yellow and thin and I can't see it.
I can't find anything in the preferences to alter.
Thanks in advance...

False alarm - I have found it has to do with the layer colour tag.
Whew!
