Good day.

I have been using Adobe Illustrator for half a year, at school, and at home.
I recently purchased Adobe Illustrator CS2, and it has been working properly for half a week. However, yesterday I encountered a very annoying problem, and I can’t seem to fix it. So I ask you for help-
Using the pen tool to trace an image, I create curves of various proportions.
For each anchor point I create, I always have to click it once more to covert the anchor point. But recently the pen tool has had problems detecting the anchor points!
When I try to convert an anchor point, it only places a new anchor point above it. And when trying to complete a circle by placing the last anchor point on the first one, it only places a new one… This is not a constant problem.. Some times it works, and some times it don’t. I usually have to restart Illustrator to fix it, but the problem returns after some time. Anyone that can help me?

...try trashing illustrator preference file, then restart illustrator, see if that helps...

...if you are on mac os x it will be found here:

Users/'username'/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator CS2 Settings/Adobe Illustrator Prefs

...not sure exact location on windows, but it may be named something like 'ai.prfs'
