Pen Tool in Photoshop 7

I am trying to cut out an image with the pen tool, I only want an outline but I cannot get rid of the fill colour so I just have an outline stroke, how can I just do an outline with the pen tool around my object?

Make sure you have the 'Path' option selected in the pen tools option bar rather than the 'shape layer' option (which creates a filled object).
