Pen Tool Excel 2010

I am a beginner VBA user. Within my Sub, I would like to activate the pen tool, allow the user to sign his name and de-activate the tool. I have tried recording these actions in a macro, but nothing records. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

how do you intend activating this procedure?

You might want to have a procedure to START the pen and another one to STOP the pen.

You activate the pen, via a button for instance.

The you use the pen.

The you deactivate the pen, via another button, for instance.

Thank you for your response. I realize I wasn't very clear.

I am opening a .csv file, formatting it, and a driver will present it to a delivry recipient for signature. The .csv file is coming from an AS400 application. The client would like the delivery receipt presented full screen. I would like my procedure to run to the point were it waits for the signature. When the signature is complete the receipient or the driver could use the stylus to click "done" or something like that. I am trying to avoid using the menu ribbon. I can't find a VB call that activates the pen.

I realize there must be a lot of signature software or add-ins out there. Just thought that with a tablet computer and with Excel 2010 I could accomplish a similar thing.

Seems to me that if the recipient has a tablet, they ought to know how to activate the pen. It is really very intuitive, and there is, to my knowledge, no VBA code that addresses this feature.

If the tablet user did NOT know how to use that feature, then how in the world would they be able to do what you propose?

You can, however, use VB or c to manipulate this feature I am sure. But I am not clear as to exactly how this sort of coding feature would work or help get you a signature.
